Fall is coming! As summer starts to wind down, we’re enjoying an abundant, very sweet and very tasty crop of peaches and plums. We’ll soon wrap-up our successful Whim Dinner Series, and while it’s always bittersweet to move out of this season, we have much to look forward to. Mid-Summer Updates: Staff, Crops, Whim and More The summer is passing quickly, and soon there will be the feel of fall in the air. The crops are growing well, and the peach and apple crops especially look wonderful this year. We should have a heavy apple crop this fall! Whim Dinner Series kicks off this week! With spring comes eternal optimism and a look towards the future. The weather this spring has been difficult for farmers everywhere with cloudy skies and lots of rain. At Smolak, it has caused many of our crops to be about two weeks behind the normal schedule, which might affect the CSA start this year.
