Fields of 1,000 Hearts

2021-08-05T10:05:53-04:00June 15th, 2021|News and Announcements|

We're so excited to share a new installation at the farm, inspired by our 'Strawberry Fields Forever' Strawberry Festival theme this year. Our new 'Field of 1,000 Hearts' covers a portion of the farm with exactly 1,000 red and pink wooden hearts. It's a beautiful backdrop for fun summer photos, and we've decided to make it a philanthropic event as well. There will be a $2 entrance fee for each person wishing to use the Field of 1,000 hearts for photos. All of the proceeds from each month's entrance fees will be collected in a large mailbox staked by the [...]

Fall is coming! As summer starts to wind down, we’re enjoying an abundant, very sweet and very tasty crop of peaches and plums. We’ll soon wrap-up our successful Whim Dinner Series, and while it’s always bittersweet to move out of this season, we have much to look forward to. The apple trees are laden with fruit, and in fact due to ample rain, heat and sunshine these last months, it looks to be one of the best apple crops we’ve ever had!   Our animal area has some new additions, including Australian Swans, Nubian goats, Heritage Breeds of Turkeys, and Muscovey [...]

The crops are growing well, and the peach and apple crops especially look wonderful this year. We should have a heavy apple crop this fall!
