Educational Farm Tours: Fruit & Berries
Become an expert fruit picker here at Smolak Farms! At our farm, we offer a variety of seasonal fruits to choose from. Whether you are part of a school group, summer camp, scout troop, or looking for the perfect company outing – Smolak Farms is the place to go!
Bookings for the 2023 season start in January, so secure your spot today, as these tours tend to fill up quickly. The minimum number for a group tour is 15 people. *Due note that a $140 deposit is required at the time of booking in order to secure your specific date and time*

Strawberry Tour: Strawberries are our first crop of the year here at the farm. You and your group will load the wagons and take a wonderful tour of our historic farm. Then we’ll proceed to one of our strawberry fields where you pick from our plump, juicy, sweet strawberries! Enjoy an apple cider donut, and a refreshing drink from our farm stand!
Blueberry Tour: Blueberries are a sweet treat on a hot summer day. Our blueberry Tour offers fantastic views of the farm from your very own hayride tour and an education about the special conditions it takes to grow each blueberry plant. Leave the farm with a container of sweet berries, enjoy a fresh apple cider donut, and a refreshing drink from our farm stand!
Apple Tour: By far our most popular fruit-picking option! Enjoy a crisp fall day at our farm while you ride the wagon through beautiful New England Fall foliage. The wagon stops half-way through the orchard tour where you’ll get out and pick some apples as our tour guide explains the apple growing process, the many varieties of apple and the proper picking technique! While on your visit, you’ll also enjoy a fresh apple cider donut, and a refreshing drink from our farm stand!
Pumpkin Tour: What says fall more than pumpkins, cider and a fresh apple cider donut? Our Fall Pumpkin Tour is a lovely wagon ride around the property capped off with a walk to the pumpkin patch just beyond our barn. Pick your own sugar pumpkin, and have a refreshing drink and a special snack from our farmstand!
Pricing
Smolak Farms strives to maintain high-quality educational programming. Due to an increase in expenses, we unfortunately have had to raise our costs to maintain the highest quality in educational tours. We thank you for understanding. Please see our new pricing lists below, which vary depending on season and content.

Strawberry Tour: $15/child and $7/adult or chaperone.
Blueberry Tour: $15/child and $7/adult or chaperone.
Apple Tour: $15/child and $7/adult or chaperone.
Pumpkin Tour: $15/child and $7/adult or chaperone.
*For every 25 children, a group will receive 1 free adult or chaperone*
All tours must be paid in advance. Tours take place rain or shine. Cancellations by a group will result in the loss of the full deposit. Smolak Farms reserves the right to cancel any tour due to severe weather conditions. Should cancellation by Smolak Farms be necessary, we will notify your tour’s contact person by approximately 7:30 AM on the day of the tour. In this situation, we will try to reschedule the tour. If this is not possible, a full refund of the deposit will be issued. Due note, that Smolak Farms is not a nut free facility, and all allergy concerns should be brought up at the time of booking.
