We have heard from so many of our friends this winter, and I wanted to take a moment to share an update on what’s happening here at Smolak Farms. It has been a busy season … the kind of winter that keeps us moving even when the fields are quiet. Between plenty of snow to shovel and lots of planning behind the scenes, we have been hard at work preparing for a wonderful new season ahead.
One of the biggest projects underway right now – and one of the main reasons we made the decision to take a winter pause this year – is our new greenhouse. We are excited to finally see it taking shape. Once complete, this beautiful space will become a welcoming café-style gathering spot right here at the farm. It is something we have been looking forward to sharing with you for a long time, and we can’t wait for everyone to experience it.
As always, spring at the farm depends on both the weather and the pace of construction. While we had originally hoped to open our doors in late March, Mother Nature had other ideas. We are now planning to welcome everyone back in early May, and we will continue sharing updates as we get closer. There’s a lot to look forward to this season.
🌷 A Special One-Day Spring Visit: Easter Egg Hunts on April 4
Before our full seasonal opening, we hope you’ll join us on Saturday, April 4 for our Annual Easter Egg Hunt.
This special one-day event will give families a chance to return to the farm, celebrate the season together, and enjoy a preview of what’s to come this spring. Please note that the Farm Stand will not yet be fully open for the season, but we’re excited to welcome visitors back for this festive early-spring tradition.

Events & Celebrations
We will begin hosting our first private events of the season in early May. We already have many wonderful celebrations scheduled – from weddings and showers to corporate gatherings – throughout the spring, summer, and beyond.
Our Events team is currently booking through the rest of this season and into 2027, and we would love to help bring your next celebration to life at the farm.

Farm Stand Traditions & New Energy
This winter pause has given us time to return to many of the classic recipes, traditions, and farm stand favorites that so many of you have loved over the years.
At the same time, we are excited to welcome a terrific new Farm Stand Manager and a new General Manager to the team. Their energy and experience will help us continue building something special here for our community.
Most of all, I want you to know how grateful we are for the loyalty and support you’ve shown Smolak Farms over the years. This place has always been about family, tradition, and gathering together, and we are looking forward to another great season ahead with all of you.
