Fall is here, and so are our Fall Festivals!

We are in the early-to-mid stages of apple season, and this year’s crop is fantastic. The amount of rain, sunshine, and culture this year have given us one of the best crops we’ve ever experienced. Our peach and blueberry crops were also some of the best we’ve had this year. What a season it has been!

We introduced a new Beer, Wine, and Food Tent to our fall festivals this year, and the addition has been very well received. Last week, we added a 10-foot screen to the tent for loyal Patriots fans, so we can stream the game for those folks visiting the farm while the Pats are playing.

Our kitchen staff has been cooking up (literally) some great food for both the food tent as well as grab and go meals. These dishes, along with our apple cider donuts and regular bakery fare have me down there sampling a little too often!

Upcoming Events and Goings-On at the Farm

We are planning many exciting events for October and the Halloween season, so stay tuned for more details there. Tricia, our Education and Activities Manager, is working on our Halloween programs now and we are excited to share more details soon.

I’m also happy to announce we’ll be offering a special Active Military and Veteran’s Appreciation discount weekend later on in October. We were disappointed not to bring you the Military Appreciation Weekend many customers have come to love, so wanted to offer an alternative to honor and support all those in our community who are involved in the military. Please join us Columbus Day Weekend, Sunday 10/13 and Monday 10/14, for 25% off all PYO apples (with a valid military ID).

We have some additional surprises coming along based on great feedback from past events, so watch for details on those, too.

It is also not too early to start thinking about Thanksgiving. Pie season is upon us, and we now have turkey’s available for pre-order in the farm stand. How quickly this comes around the corner! Happy to fall to you and yours, and we’ll see you soon.
