CSA Updates:

2013 CSA NOW OPEN!

What is Community Supported Agriculture (CSA)?

At their most fundamental level, CSA farms provide a weekly delivery of sustainably grown produce to consumers during the growing season (approximately
June to October). Those consumers, in turn, pay a membership fee.

How Do I Sign Up?

Download this application and mail it in with a check made out to Smolak Farms.

What Is The Season?

Our 18-week season runs mid-June through mid-October. The fruits and vegetables that we pack each week will vary with the rhythms of the growing season. This means that in the early boxes you might see strawberries, varieties of lettuce and scallions. The heat of the summer will bring along garden favorites like tomatoes, basil, parsley, peppers, eggplant, green beans, summer squash, raspberries, blueberries and more. As we wind into fall, look for different varieties of winter squash, carrots and, of course, apples!

When And Where Do I Pick Up The Produce?

Pick up days for your CSA will be assigned.  There will be 50 shares available for a Wednesday pick up and 50 shares available for a Thursday pick up.  All produce will be freshly picked, washed and boxed the day of pick up.  All pick-ups will be at Smolak Farms in North Andover, MA.

How Much Does It Cost & Can I Share A Share?

Vegetable/Fruit CSA* – Full, 18-week share is $575 for the season.  Half shares are available for $325

You can share with friends and trade pick-ups or share with someone for just the summer if you go away on vacation.  You will receive a membership card at time of sign up.  The card must be shown at time of pick up.

* A Full Share CSA should be enough to feed 4 people, a Half Share should feed 2 with normal size servings.  Please note that Mother Nature dictates when all crops are ready so we cannot guarantee quantities by specific dates.
